FEATURES
SAFE FOR SKIN
NATURAL COLD EXPOSURE
COMFORTABLE STRETCH NEOPRENE
Cool2Shape is the first patented personal cooling system designed to use mild cold in a wellness wearable to increase brown fat naturally and improve health. Inuteqer has launched this new affordable and practical cooling technology to market for consumer health. Using a vest, waist wrap, leg wraps, and arm wraps with phase change cooling packs at 15°C/59°F. Cool2Shape exposes the body to mild cold temperatures to stimulate a process called non-shivering thermogenesis. Non-shivering thermogenesis is a process by which the body uses lipids and glucose to produce heat to maintain core body temperature in response to cold temperature. This is done with the activation of brown adipose tissue, also known as brown fat, which burns calories and increases your metabolism.
Exposing the body to cold temperatures through the use of a vest, waist wrap, leg wraps, or arm wraps with phase change cooling packs at 59°F (15°C) stimulates a process called non-shivering thermogenesis, which is mediated by the activation of brown adipose tissue, also known as brown fat. Non-shivering thermogenesis has several potential health benefits, including weight loss and improved metabolic health.
Here is a summary of some of the published research investigating health benefits of activated brown fat: Weight loss: Some studies have suggested that non-shivering thermogenesis helps with weight loss. For example, a study published in the journal Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism found that exposing the body to cold temperatures increased energy expenditure and led to weight loss in obese individuals (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3396238/).
Obesity: Research has suggested that non-shivering thermogenesis is a potential treatment for obesity. For example, a review published in the journal Frontiers in Endocrinology found that activating brown fat may help reduce body weight and improve metabolic health in obese individuals (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5414507/).
Diabetes: Activating brown fat may also be beneficial for people with diabetes. A study published in the journal Diabetes Care found that exposing the body to cold temperatures improved insulin sensitivity in people with type 2 diabetes (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3073607/).
Cardiovascular disease: Studies have suggested that activating brown fat has a protective effect on the cardiovascular system. A study published in the journal Nature Medicine found that activating brown fat improved cardiovascular health in mice (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3879259/). Osteoporosis: Activating brown fat may also benefit bone health. A study published in the journal Cell Reports found that activating brown fat increased bone density in mice (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4747003/).
Alzheimer’s: Activating brown fat may have a protective effect on brain health and may be beneficial for people with Alzheimer’s disease. A study published in the journal Aging Cell found that activating brown fat improved cognitive function in mice (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5624615/).
Cancer: New research suggests that activating brown fat may have anti-cancer effects by slowing growth of tumors by reducing available glucose. A study published in the journal Nature found that activating brown fat slowed the growth of cancer tumors in mice and in humans (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4407722/).
Note that while these studies suggest that non-shivering thermogenesis and activating brown fat has potential health benefits, more research is needed to fully understand the effects and potential risks of these interventions. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.
My cooling packs are lumpy and or twisted?
Cool2Shape cooling pack change from liquid to solid. They must be flat to use so lay them flat in your freezer when liquid.
What do I do if I do not have a lot of freezer space?
Ideally cooling packs should lay flat and not be on top of each other for the fastest change to solid – ready to use – state. You can fold larger Cool2Shape cooling packs in half along a seam and stack, they will just take longer to turn solid.
Can I use a refridgerator or ice in a cooler?
Yes. Exposure to any temperature below 15°C/59°F will change the cooling packs to solid – it may take overnight in a fridge. A cooler with ice will also work very fast but be sure to lay flat and add plenty of water to have a icy cold mix.
Why are my cooling packs falling off when I try to attach to the neoprene?
Try turning the cooling pack over. The hook part of the hook and loop (Velcro®) has to face the loop fabric on the side of the vest or wrap that faces your body.
Where do I attach cooling packs on vest?
Attach packs to front and back of the vest leaving the shoulder strap area clear.
How do I know when to re-freeze the cooling packs?
At room temperature your cooling packs will last for about 2 hours. Check the packs by looking at them. If you still see some white solids the pack is still working.
How long and how often should I use Cool2Shape?
At 15°C/59°F the cooling packs are comfortable even against the skin. If you want to wear against your skin, take the cooling packs out of the freezer and wait 10 minutes to allow them to warm up first. Wearing Cool2Shape simulates our natural human state of being outdoors in mild cold. Once a day over 4 to 6 weeks is the typical cooling protocol used in studies. Wearing additional hours is possible but not necessary.
Size guide:
The Cool2Shape line of wearable cooling is one size fits most. We do not recommend combining the waist wrap with the vest if you are shorter than 1.96 m or 5'2 feet or have a very short torso as cooling packs will overlap and be redundant.
Height range 127-203 cm/4'10-6'8 feet.
Weight range 45-135 kg/100-300 lbs.
Waist belt length 121 cm/48 inch but can stretch to 134 cm/53inch. Belts may be doubled for extended length.
Max waist/chest expansion for vest is about approximately 139 cm/55 inches.
Should I use the vest or arm and leg wraps? Can I use them all together?
Increasing the area of the body that is cooled can accelerate brown fat activation. We recommend you start with the vest or the vest combined with a waist wrap as the best options to start with. If you are short or have a short torso, you may only need the vest. The leg wraps and arm wraps are covering areas of major blood flow and improve overall cooling so should be added if possible.
